Manila Trip '07 - Day 3 (Part 2) Photo Entries

Took a ton of photos while I was at Rizal Park and Intramuros so here are some of them while I write out the last remaining entries for this series.

(Rizal Monument with Manila Hotel off at the distance)

(Jeepney stop although none actually stopped there and actual jeepneys at entrance of Intramuros)

(Close up to the gate house entrance at Intramuros)

(This doorway lead into a beautiful garden that I wished I had gone in to see but I think it was a private residence)

(Street level at Intramuros - wished that the tangled electrical wires didn't spoil the view)

(San Agustin Church entrance and bell tower)

(Close up of Manila WW2 Liberation Dead Memorial with inscription at the base of the statue)

(Wished I had a better panoramic lens setting to capture how big the Manila Cathedral entrance was)

(Bell tower for Manila Cathedral and the wedding crowd in front of the cathedral)

(Kids in front of Manila Cathedral was more than happy to pose for this silly tourist who wanted to get a pic of the girl who wore the white traditional costume)

I just came across this fact on you: "Spent college freshman & sophomore years at KPP/ITM prep college"... err.. wonder if we ever bumped into each other before as I was there too..

Xis ...

Thanks for the visit :)

Manila was fun & quite affordable to visit. You should go if you can just for the experience.

I was at KPP/ITM from 91 - 93 (if I remember correctly) under the ADP program. I don't think we met before there as I'm sure you were in KPP/ITM after my time.

Hmm.. let me correct you.. you're under MUCIA program, right? ADP program started in '93, and I was the first batch. I was there in from 93-95.. yup.. Manila is always in my trip list..

Right ... I was in MUCIA. ADP 1st batch ... I don't think that I know anyone from that batch. Left KPP after the Summer semester in '93 so I don't think our paths crossed before.

Given the way our schedules were made out, I didn't get to mix with any juniors anyway during my time there. Stayed mostly in my own circle of friends.

I see.. so you left KPP 6 months after I joined ADP.. and that six months, I was in Subang Jaya doing my ESL. So, guess it's true that we never met before. Guess you must be MUCIA 10, if not 11...

Yup ... I was in MUCIA 10 Accelerated Track group so we skipped ESL and went to US with the last of the MUCIA 9 batch. Partly explains why I hardly know the people from my own batch and much less those in MUCIA 11 & ADP 1 batches.
